I’ve been a life member at Post #363 in Fridley, MN since January 2006. My experience in the Navy led me to join the VFW, where I was able to connect with other women like myself. I’ve met so many women I can exchange military stories with. I really have a special bond with my VFW comrades – these are friendships I can’t find anywhere else.

More about me:
At age 22, I left my job as a travel agent and decided to follow my passion for aircraft and join the Navy. I was given the opportunity to work with many different aircraft components, which is exactly what I loved to do. My hobbies include fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, scrapbooking, reading and volunteering.

Accomplishments:
Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Battle “E,” Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
